analysis of 'DETAILED' film openings


Avengers;

Genre-The Avengers is an sci-fi with a mixture of action due to the unrealism of the Hulk and Thor but a mixture of action due to good vs bad creating it into action back movie.










Narrative-A group of inhumane characters and Iron Man are all created into a group of special agents which have been put together to save the world due to alien invasion.
Character-A huge group of people all team up with a group of heroes to help protect the world from invasion from an evil villain.
Atmosphere-Exciting and curious build up as you never know what is coming around the corner and the next scene is hard to predict.
Themes-Action backed film with multiple scenes of sci-fi due to transformation of Hulk and the sci-fi of Aliens.
Setting- Based in new year city where the STARK building is placed and where the invasion begins to take place.









Sound-Quick paced and high build up of tension because the scenes are so unpredictable always leaving the viewer on the edge of there seat.
Titles-Bold and sharp to emphasis on the dramatic irony of the film and the action packed film.

Star Wars

Genre- Sci-fi, action packed movie with multiple of sci-fi techniques such as lasers and spaceships.
Narrative-Good vs bad, lightsaber fights with the ability of the force to kill the dark side and take over the galaxy.
Character-Multiple of main actors all help influence throughout the film to gain a final result and resolving ending.
Atmosphere-Heavy build up through pianos and violin which gradually builds up tension and leaving the viewer on the edge of there seats.
Themes-Sci-if based film due to lightsabers, flying spaceships in space, mixed with action as there is huge conflict between good and bad.









Setting-Galaxy, space and multiple planets.
Sound-Heavy build up through pianos and violins and the laser noises and swooshes of the lightsabers.
Titles-Very simple bold, easy to read for all ages.
Spectre

Genre-Action film due to the guns and typical blonde girl, with multiple car chasing scenes.
Narrative-Revealing the Spectre group who has control over Bond, so he tracks down  the head leader.
Character-Main actor Daniel Craig who plays James Bond, with other actors but Daniel Craig has the most screen-time.










Atmosphere-Heavy build up through 'Writing on the wall' and title sequence gives an overall context of the film.
Themes-Action based film due to guns,blood,violence and car chases and the conflict between Bond and Batista throughout the film.
Setting-Based in London but also branches out to multiple countries such as Austria, Mexico, Italy and Liechtenstein 









Sound-Song by Sam Smith is the key soundtrack which plays throughout the title sequence setting the mood and tone of the film.
Titles -The basic titles are simple and where clear to read making it easier for the viewers.

Creed-Detailed film opening

Genre-Sports Drama due to the son of Apollo Creed, Adonis seeks out former world champ Rocky to help mentor and train him.
Narrative-Apollo Creeds son Adonis seeks out to live in his dad shoes but wants to make it without the name of 'Creed' whilst also seeking out ex-world champion Rocky, Rocky helps train Adonis due to the friendship both Apollo and Rocky had.
Character -Main to actors Michael B. Jordan 'Adonis Creed' and Sylvester Stallone 'Rocky Balboa'.
Atmosphere-Tense and fast paced editing due to build up of fights and training is quick paced to show his improvements.
Themes-Drama based on his father who was once a World Champion and his son wants the same legacy. 
Setting-Philadelphia and Liverpool
Sound-Running, skiping and punching noises to emphasis on the fact it is a sport film but jumps deeper into a boxing fim.
Titles-Old fashioned boxing poster titles, big and bold easy to read.

This will help me with my final film shooting regarding how I will latch in the audience very quickly and engage them into the film without boring them easily this can be done due to the fast paced editing and music used so it can match comfortably with the genre, making sure the titles match with the film and the themes play a role as it needs to placed in the correct position if not it doesn't work well making it clash together.
